Cy Hutchinson is retired from City Public Service (CPS) – San Antonio’s electric and gas utility company — as their Manager of Information and Communication Services. He served in that position for 14 years. Prior to that, he was the Director of Data Processing where he was responsible for managing automated services for all Tracor based groups. Mr. Hutchinson also served as Executive Director for Consolidated Data Processing Center for the City of San Antonio and Bexar County following his retirement from the U.S. Air Force with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 1981. His career-long experience in the computer technology field is complimented by the fact that he founded and organized Helix Corporation in 1975. Helix was involved first in the sale and operation of electronic game machines but subsequently diversified into other fields, such as real estate and investments. He is an active member of numerous civic organizations such as the United Way, Family Services Association, Consumer Credit Counseling Service, San Antonio College, and the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.
