William Moll returned to KLRN-TV, San Antonio’s public television station, on October 1, 2009. He last served as the station’s Manager in 1969, spending more than 40 years operating commercial broadcasting groups. He retired as Chairmanof Clear Channel Television on September 30, 2009, after nearly 15 years with Clear Channel Communications.
His wide-ranging experience includes positions as President of WNBC-TV in New York; President of the Television Bureau of Advertising (TVB) in New York; President of Clear Channel Television in San Antonio; President of WKRC-TV, in Cincinnati, Ohio;President of Harte-Hanks Broadcasting in San Antonio; President of KENS-TV, San Antonio.
He is Immediate Past Chairmanof the USO World Board of Governors, and serves as a Trustee of the USO Foundation. He is a Trustee of numerous boards, including The University of Incarnate Word,Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, Masters Leadership Program, San Antonio Area Foundation, Executive Committee of United Way of San Antonio, KIPP Aspire Academy, and The Bexar County Performing Arts Center.
He holds a Masters degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelors degree English and Education from SoutheastMissouriUniversity in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Married for more than 50 years to Marilyn Moll, they have 2 sons, 2 daughters-in-law and 3 grandchildren.
