Tres Kleberg is a 5th generation Texan who attended both Texas Military Institute and Trinity University in San Antonio. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Aviator before returning to San Antonio where he has had a successful banking and private investments career. He was very active in the YMCA, Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital Foundation and St. Luke’s Lutheran Hospital where he served as Chairman of each. He has served on the board of many civic and business organizations, and is currently on the boards of Cullen/Frost Bankers Inc, Trinity University, and SALE. He has had a long association with the San Antonio Livestock Exposition (SALE), serving as Chairman of the Board during which they received Large Indoor Rodeo of the year 5 consecutive years. His Navy career opened the door to working with all branches of the service in the Coastal Bend and San Antonio areas. He also served as Chairman of the USS San Antonio Commissioning Committee in 2006, and was appointed Civilian Aid to the Secretary of the Army (CASA) for Texas South in 2008. He was honored as the recipient of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Freeman Award in 2000 and named to the San Antonio Business Hall of Fame in 2004. Tres’ love for Texas and his Country is an admirable quality noted by his friends and family.
