Michael is the Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer of Baptist Health System, where he oversees the strategy, growth, and development for Vanguard Health System’s South Texas Region. He has served in senior leadership roles with Vanguard Health Systems, Hospital Corporation of America, MedCath, and NeuroSource. Michael’s recent accomplishments include securing Baptist’s participation in the Medicare Acute Care Episode (ACE) Demonstration Project (one of only 5 hospital systems in the country), development of the Baptist Brain & Stroke Network, development of the Mission Trail Baptist Hospital and the soon to be developed hospital in New Braunfels. Michael also oversees the integration and alignment efforts with physicians throughout the Baptist Health System. Michael received his bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from Auburn University and his master’s degree in healthcare administration from the Medical College of Virginia. He is board certified in healthcare management and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.  Michael is also an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Healthcare Administration at Trinity University.
