Louis Rowe served as the Representative for District 9 in San Antonio, Texas from January of 2008 through May of 2009. He was appointed to fill in the seat left vacant by Kevin Wolff who left City Council to run for County Commissioner in Bexar County.
Louis Rowe, P.E., has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, is a licensed professional engineer and has 33 years experience with Goetting & Associates, Inc where he has served as President and CEO since 1991. He is responsible for the overall corporate direction of the company, as well as for business development and the company’s Total Quality Management (TQM) system. Mr. Rowe is actively involved in the conceptual design of many projects including commercial, healthcare, hospitality, educational, and high technology projects. His involvement includes the development of design systems to meet the customer’s cost, energy, flexibility, and sustainability needs, then monitoring the design to see that quality is maintained and to ensure that schedules and budgets are met.
Mr. Rowe’s areas of technical expertise include lighting systems (interior, exterior, landscape, roadway, etc.); power distribution systems (from single buildings to multi-building master planning in voltage ranges from 120V to 15,000V); telephone; television distribution; fire alarms; security; emergency power generation systems; hospital systems (nurse call, paging, equipotential grounding, isolated power, etc.); hotel systems (room status, maid service, etc.); computer systems (uninterruptible power, 400 Hz power, emergency generation, etc.); low voltage DC systems; lightning protection systems and energy control and monitoring.
