Blue Clover CEO and president José Sena was chosen to receive the San Antonio Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award for 2006. These men and women are professionals chosen by the Business Journal to be “people inspired to take a novel idea and take it to fruition” and bring technology and/or job opportunities to San Antonio.

Sena, just 30-years-old, launched Blue Clover in 2003 with three other partners that pitched in $50,000 each to get the business off the ground. Blue Clover has become a successful advertising/graphics firm that integrates On- and Off-line Branding™.

“We knew that if we worked hard enough and put ourselves in front of enough people, we’d get work,” Sena told the Business Journal. Today, the company’s client roster has grown to more than 42 businesses and organizations including Rackspace, San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Yates Construction, Seguin Economic Development Corporation, Blaine Construction, UTSA, USAA and Terramark Group.

Blue Clover has quickly distinguished itself in creative innovation by winning, in only its second year of existence, four Addys at the San Antonio American Advertising Federation’s Addy Awards ceremony last year. This follows Blue Clover’s excellent achievement of winning the Gold Addy and several Merit awards in its first year of business at the 2004 ceremony.

In 2005, Blue Clover also accepted the 2005 San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Emerging Business Award.

“I do feel blessed where we are. I’ve accomplished a big portion of my dream at this point of my life, but there are other things I want to do. The chase will definitely continue,” said Sena to the Business Journal. Blue Clover remains active in many community organizations, including all four Chambers of Commerce in the area, and is involved in community service activities such as the donation of website design services for the American Advertising Federation (AAF) San Antonio and the American Marketing Association (AMA).
