Family is the foundation of Sea Island Shrimp House. Forty-six years in the market, the restaurant began from humble roots at its original location on Rector St. where founders Dan Anthony, wife Chrissy and friend Henry Reed began serving the freshest Gulf seafood at affordable prices. It was at that location where son Barclay Anthony began his education in the restaurant business–peeling shrimp, busing tables and washing dishes. His mother was the pillar of the company, providing indispensable support both at the restaurant and at home.  Barclay went on to study business at UT where he earned a BBA with honors and worked for a national investment bank. He returned to San Antonio to run the family business and has been CEO of Sea Island Shrimp House since 1994. Together, they are intensely passionate about Sea Island’s legacy of consistently serving the freshest seafood at the best value.
