Co-Owner, Ruby Tuesday & Subway Development
Along with several partners, Cathy Amato owns and operates 46 Subways in San Antonio and Austin. She also works for the development office for South Central Texas and is responsible for the selling of franchises, site selection, and leasing. The development office oversees the activities of franchisees for 380 restaurants in 63 counties to include Laredo, San Antonio, Austin, Waco, and College Station. She has been with Subway since 1992.
Along with two partners, Cathy Amato owns the development rights for Bexar County for Ruby Tuesday. She has signed a development contract for five locations. The first one opened in December 2008 and the second one opened November 2009.
She has also been involved in commercial real estate development as well as liquor stores. The liquor stores were recently sold.
Cathy has served on the following boards:
Elected National Subway Franchisee Board, served on Executive Board.
Elected Local Subway Advertising Board for San Antonio
Served on San Antonio Youth Literacy Board, chaired two galas.
Served on Wildlife Rescue Board.
Co-hosted numerous charitable/community event with husband, Charlie Amato
Start term on board for San Antonio Sports Foundation January 2010
Cathy’s husband is Charlie and has a daughter, Allison Marcus. She also has many pets.
