Bob Crittenden began his career in the U.S. Air Force reviewing major civil and defense-related projects. After the military, he was an estimator and project manager for Lyda Construction in San Antonio, and in the early 1980s, co-founded a consulting firm, Project Control.

Today Bob manages operations and oversees business development and project management services for Project Control – providing owners with professional, independent project management for the development, design and construction of major building projects. The company has been recognized three times by both the Associated General Contractors of America with the Marvin M. Black Excellence in Partnering Award, and the Associated Builders and Contractors with the Excellence in Construction Award.

With decades of experience managing commercial building projects including corporate campus, hospitality, recreation, arts/museum, healthcare/laboratory, and education facilities, Project Control established its subsidiary PC Sports & Entertainment specializing in sports and multi-purpose facilities and destination attractions.

Project Control’s expertise is especially helpful to non-profits, and Bob actively gives back to the community. He shares his time, talent and treasure with organizations supporting the arts, the homeless, education and the Catholic Church.

As vice chairman of Centro Alameda, Bob oversaw the design and construction of the nationally-acclaimed Museo Alameda Smithsonian, or MÁS – the first approved Smithsonian Institution affiliate, and in 2008, the San Antonio Business Journal recognized the project team as the Best in Commercial Real Estate for the museum’s Rehab & Development. He is now planning the renovation and reopening of the historic Alameda Theatre – the last great art deco theatre built post World War II.

He assisted Seton Home, a homeless shelter for teenage pregnant mothers and their babies, with the design and construction of a residence hall, chapel and community center/childcare building – named “The Crittenden Family Center” for his efforts.

Bob and his wife have established two endowments in the UTSA College of Liberal and Fine Arts, and are raising scholarship funds as honorary chairs of the Alumni Gala.

Bob serves on the Assumption Seminary’s board of directors and assisted with the design and construction of the Archbishop Patrick Flores Residence Hall; and he’s a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Bob is an alumnus of the Air Force Academy and Ohio State University. He enjoys golfing, fishing, Formula One racing and traveling. He and wife Yolanda have three children and will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary this year. They are the very proud grandparents of Jetty, Sophia, and John Paul.
