She graduated from Corpus Christi State University in 1990 with her MSN, and from The University of Houston with her EdD in 2004. She received her certification in Nursing Education in 2008. She has taught nursing for 26 years in Vocational, Associate, Bachelor, and Masters Programs. She has been in Nursing Education Administration for 13 years.

John R. Melleky, CFRE is the Chief Executive Officer for the Fiesta® San Antonio Commission. Before joining the Fiesta Commission, John was the executive director of the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists Foundation in Richmond, Va. He also founded 3fold consulting LLC, which provided event planning, association management, and fundraising services for a variety of nonprofits. While working with Veronica Whitehead & Co. as operations director, Melleky worked on conferences for Time Warner and MasterCard, and 10 years with the FORTUNE 500 Forum. He was also the operations director for Real Simple’s “Get Organized New York Tag Sale” in Central Park, which raised money for the New York City Fund for Public Schools.

Art served on San Antonio’s City Council representing the Northside’s District 8 from 2003 to 2007, when he was term-limited out of office. District 8 is a district with the largest number of neighborhood associations, the City’s two highest voting precincts, the two neighborhoods with the highest per capita income, and home to USAA and the South Texas Medical Center (San Antonio’s two dominant economic generators). He was recognized by the SA Scene Monthly, along with Mayor Phil Hardberger, as one of San Antonio’s “Most Influential of 2005.”

After four years we moved to San Antonio Texas and I became the strategic planner and then the Director of Plans and programs for Air Intelligence Agency, now the AF ISR Agency. After four years the family decided that San Antonio should be a permanent home so I retired from the Air Force with the rank of Colonel and took a position with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). Through the efforts of an outstanding team, we’ve build an initial cadre of 25 SAIC people into a division of over 150 people, supporting our country in the areas of analysis, cyber, and information operations. We may not still be wearing the uniform, but we are still supporting.

Dr. Adena Williams Loston serves as the 14th President of St. Philip’s College our nation’s only Historically Black College and Hispanic Serving Institution. She assumed the reigns on March 1, 2007 on the occasion of St. Philip’s109th anniversary. She previously served as the Director of Education and Special Assistant for Suborbital and Special Orbital Projects Directorate for the Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility and Chief Education Officer for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration at it Headquarters in Washington, DC.

Since 1999, Michael R. Kiolbassa has been president of Kiolbassa Provision Company. After graduating from Southern Methodist University in Dallas in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on finance, Michael worked for Interfirst Bank for two years as an analyst. In 1987, he began working at Kiolbassa Provision Company as plant manager, and in 1989, he moved into the sales department, which allowed him to concentrate on marketing the company and developing the Kiolbassa brand. As president, Michael’s primary duties include focusing on strategic goals, establishing and communicating the company vision, and working to continue to have Kiolbassa Sausage products distributed in grocery stores throughout Texas.

Dr. Thomas M. McNish is Deputy CEO of Biodynamic Research Corporation in San Antonio, Texas where he serves as a consultant in biomechanics, impact analysis and injury causation analysis. Dr. McNish was born May 1, 1942, in Madison, Tennessee, and graduated in May 1959 from Franklin High School in Franklin, North Carolina. Following one year at North Carolina State University, he entered the Air Force Academy in June 1960. Upon graduation in June 1964, Dr. McNish entered pilot training at Williams Air Force Base, Arizona, and received his wings in September 1965.
